Did you miss me?

I know I've had some posts this last week but I really haven't created anything in almost a week and I haven't visited most blogs in a week.

We've been busy and well, my creativity has left the building.

It didn't help that I caught a cold or allergies turned into a cold--just haven't felt the greatest.

I'm hoping to get some creating done today! 

After this week things should slow down some so then hopefully I can get back to blogging and commenting as normal! Have a happy day and remember those military persons who have given the ultimate sacrifice on this Memorial Day.

Super Super Proud Mommy post

I am just so proud of Matthew...have to brag a bit!! 

This morning was his 3rd grade year end awards. He received the Principal's Spotted Excellence Award--(their mascot is a dalmation and is partly why it's the "spotted" award)! This is the highest award they can receive!!
Go Matthew!! So, so proud of him!! 

Sorry, no card again

I had planned on getting a card done but a few things happened....mainly I finally caved and upgraded my cell phone and entered the world of texting and all that jazz. So instead of creating, I was setting up my phone.
Forgive me??
We also went to the Humane Society after the kids got out of school and we adopted a little puppy!! We don't get to pick her up until Tuesday but she is a doll. A Shepard mix, about 8 weeks old and we are going to name her Daisy. We are all so excited!!

Is it really Wednesday again? Wow, time is flying by! I don't have a card to share today as things have been crazy around here ( recital, end of school things, getting our roof re-shingled, finding out we're not getting the puppy we wanted, and the list goes on).

Onto my tag for today~ I used the stamp that was named after my Matthew~~ Matthew. I am just so proud of my son! In Texas there are tests that the kids have to take in school starting in 3rd grade. These are BIG deal tests. Well, my Matthew was commended on his! His teacher is double checking but she thinks he got a 100% on one of them and only missed 2 on the other one (Math and Reading is what they test on this year). One proud mommy here! I thought this tag could also double as a bookmark.

Belle

I thought that it was very appropriate to show a card made with the stamp named after my Annabelle with her recital photos. 

So here is my card using Belle by Victoria Case for SCACD. Isn't this stamp just precious? I feel so fortunate to have it named after my Belle.

I stamped the image twice and cut one out and put it up on pop dots for some dimension. I used this week's Friday Sketchers sketch, Sketch #103.

Well not me but tomorrow is my sweet Belle's ballet recital. She is so excited! It will be nice this year as Sam will get to see her as he had just been deployed last year and missed her first recital.

Tack n' Peel

I'll admit it. I'm very stubborn and set in my ways. Several people have told me about this wonderful product Tack n' Peel but I was insistent I didn't need it. I had my handy EZ Mount Cling. 

Well finally I gave in and tried the Tack n' Peel. Oh my! I really should learn to be willing to give products a try!! LOL!!

For those who don't already use this product here's a quick "how to".

Place your block on the Tack n' Peel sheet.

Trace the outline of your block with a permanent marker.

Next take your scissors and cut out shape you just drew.

Peel off the yellow liner and place onto your block.

Peel off the clear liner--but do NOT discard!

Next, place your stamp on the sticky side and voila' you're ready to stamp! I used Lily Ladybug here...isn't she so cute?? Remember her and her friends are on sale!

When you're done, just peel off your stamp and replace the clear liner.


You can also *stick* other items to your block for fun stamping--rubber bands, etc.


It also says to rinsing with water and allowing to dry will make the surface sticky again so you can use it multiple times!


I also wondered about my millions (okay, maybe not millions) of stamps already with the EZ mount cling on them so I tried that....I used sweet Bubbles from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. It worked just fine too!

Yup, I'm sold. I'll be ordering more Tack n' Peel to do all my blocks now--have you ordered yours yet??

Time for another fluttering challenge with my Flutter By Wednesday challenge! This week we are to use flowers with our butterflies, fairies or angels! Super fun!

I had fun with my creation! I started by taking my new Crafter's Workshop Flower Frenzy Template and then took 3 colors of Smooch Spritz and sprayed my paper. There were a few places that ran a bit but overall I thought it turned out so fun!! It's so shimmery in real life!


Once I had that fun paper done, I chose Hula Anya to go with it as I just thought she meshed well with it! I sprayed the butterflies with Smooch Spritz too! The flowers in Hula Anya's hair have a bit of Viva Decor Glitter Liner-holographic- on them...so pretty!


It was fun to do this smaller size card. Pretty simple card but I really like how it turned out!

Doesn't Suzanne come up with some fun sketches?? I thought this one was so elegant feeling!!

Here's what I came up with~ I added a few elements but the sketch was a great starting point! I love using the Viva Decor Pens to create my own baubles, so fun! and isn't this image to die for? it's from the latest Elisabeth Bell for SCACD release-- Sampler Edition #4.

Club Anya Saturday Sketch #18

For a while I have been wanting to play along with more challenges but didn't want to have multiple blog posts each day so I just wasn't participating. Finally it struck me, I can participate in the challenges and then upload to my SCS gallery or the companies gallery to enter the challenge and then post it to my blog later--even if it's after the challenge deadline. So that's what I'm trying.


I really liked the sketch this week at Club Anya.

I had such a great day today! The family and I went to the zoo!! For those that don't know, that is my most fav thing in the world! So much so, that I hope to work in a zoo at some point!!
