We've only had her a few days so she's still adjusting to us but I can already get her to "step up" onto my finger--the "step down"--not so much..LOL!

Meet Jade...
For those of you on Facebook, you've already "met" Jade but for those who aren't...here's the latest addition to my crafty room~ a sweet parakeet whom we've named Jade.
We've only had her a few days so she's still adjusting to us but I can already get her to "step up" onto my finger--the "step down"--not so much..LOL!
She makes me happy and not so lonely in my craft room!

Jade is adorable - she looks quite happy. Does she have a bird bath? Do you put a cover on her cage at night? I remember we had a parakeet named Petey when I was young. Petey would only take a bath for my Dad. Early evening Petey would squawk until we put the cover over his cage and then he'd go right to sleep. He was definitely a character and lived years and years!
Danni Jade is adorable. She seems to like having her picture taken. I was in a pet store last week checking out the all the birds. When I was very little we had a parakeet that talked. He would say "Get Up Mary" to my mom who had a hard time getting up. I have not had a bird since I was a child. I wonder what Max would think of a bird coming into the house. Thanks for sharing your new addition along with all your lovely creations.
