FBW #154- Anything but a card

Welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday! Be sure to visit the FBW blog to check out all the details of this week's challenge so you can play along with us!

Be sure to check out all of the Flutter By Team's creations too--links are on my side bar!

Our challenge this week is Anything But A Card and boy did it kick my behind. When I decided on the challenges for the month I had a zillion ideas for this one but then when it came time to actually "do" it...well, all those ideas sort of fluttered away.

First I thought of this cool chipboard butterfly book I have in my drawer waiting for something to be done with it....well, I can tell you that just staring at it does not do anything to it. LOL!

Then I thought, okay, use the Cricut. I found a cute little purse on my Tags, Bags and Boxes cartridge and so I tried to figure out what size I needed it and such as I am NOT Cricut savvy. Well, it is way smaller than what I envisioned and by this point I wasn't in the mood to look at the Cricut anymore. I don't think we're friends yet...LOL!

So then I thought about saying forget it but then decided to have something is better than nothing.....so here's what I came up with~~

A corner bookmark. Not exactly the "wow" project I was envisioning but it follows the challenge..hehe. I followed the tutorial HERE on SCS.

The little details~ American Girl border punch, scraps,TAC Bugs and Butterflies, copics, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, nestabilities, ultra fine tip white sharpie paint pen, CM fine tip markers, stickles

Okay, gotta say, I'm a bad blogging friend cuz I laughed a lot at what you were typing! Cricut isn't your friend?! Trust me, he loves ya! And little secret, my bag was smaller than I wanted them to be! Loved the bright book mark too!

Your bookmark is exceptionally pretty, Danni! Sounds like your relationship with your Cricut is about as good as mine with my sewing machine. The strange part is that I sewed successfully on my machine for years and now it hates me. roflol It works fine for anyone, except me.
