A challenge to myself…

Today (Saturday-November 10th, since I write my posts earlier than they post) was my monthly craft group and I had so much fun, but I was also very inspired by one crafty friend in particular.
Kristie is just the sweetest person and I just really am in awe over how many cards she (and my whole craft group) can create for Operation Write Home and they are really nice cards! She has done a tutorial for OWH on using up 6x6 paper pads--which you can see HERE--and that got to me thinking…I am such a paper hoarder that I don’t think I’ve ever completely used a full 6x6 paper pad. EEEK!!
So I am challenging myself to make the plunge and finish a 6x6 pad of paper--in 2 weeks. Granted I’m giving myself a head start as the pad I randomly pulled out to use has already been cut into but still…a whole pad..done…in 2 weeks or less. So bear with many cards using the same paper…hehe..I’ll try to space them out. I’m also going to keep track of how many cards I created using the same paper pad.
The paper pad I pulled out is Basic Grey’s Olivia. Next to help the creative process I picked out a challenge to play along with~ Cute Card Thursday #242- a sketch!
242Sketchcutecardthur
This was fun as I used a different process than I normally do--as I normally pick my image, color it and then pick out papers/sketch/layout. Fun to do it in reverse--and challenging! LOL! I really liked doing it this way as I think it will help me use stamps that I normally wouldn’t reach for. So fun!
Here’s what I came up with~

Super cute card, Danni!! What a fun challenge as I'm a total paper hoarder too!! I couldn't believe how many pads I had when I cleaned/organized my craft room last week.

Good luck! I have seen someone else use the tutorial and she made over 40 cards if I recall correctly.

I'm with you on the paper pad thingy! Does it count if we give the last couple of sheets to our kids?
Love the layout of this card and the DPs look amazing and love how you've drawn around the adorable image.

OMG, I'm not sure I could use an entired pad of paper...I like to hoard it too much! Sometimes I just like looking at it because I like the patterns...does that sound odd?!!

Adorable card and such a fun image! Reminds me of the 80's when all crafts had handsticthing patchwork!

aww, cute card and adorable bunny! oh my, i have a lot of 6 x 6 paper pads with only a couple of sheets used from each, or, shame on me, none yet. :| that would definitely be a challenge to get through one in two weeks. good luck!
