Time to SMASH

I finally made some time to sit down with all my SMASHy goodies and start a page. I don't know why but the getting started part was so intimidating.  Maybe because one of my SMASH heroes is Krista Smith, the artist of Saturated Canary. Her SMASH pages are simply amazing--check them out HERE for yourself.

I know better than to compare myself but I so {heart} looking at her pages for inspiration. Next came the time to decide what I wanted to SMASH. I figured that out pretty fast.....I'm making this first SMASH album one for me to just color and make pages...pages that make me happy.

I have so many stamps and I really do love to color but sometimes I just don't want to make a card with them...I just want to color and stamp so I thought this would be perfect to make happy SMASH pages with my colored images, stamps and things that make me happy. Plus it gives me an excuse to practice my coloring!

First I got out all my SMASHy goodies...this pile makes me happy! Opened everything up, oogled and ahh'd over it all and then set to work! My first time using Washi tape too! wheee!!

Here's what I ended up with for my first page. I had to be creative as I had bought this SMASH album from a friend and she had already started this page so I had to cover up where I took her things out. What do you think?

(I had a horrible time photographing it so please forgive the photos)

So tell me, do you SMASH? if so, I'd love to see your pages!!

awesome page danni! i don't smash (now that i know what it is. lol) and i don't scrapbook; not sure i'd be able to read my own writing anyway. it looks like it'll be fun though and a great exercise in creativity.
