How do you choose??

My kids have 1/2 days all this week at school and next week is spring break so things are a bit out of "routine" for me and if you know me, I'm a routine girl! LOL!

We don't have any plans though so hopefully that means lots of crafty time for me but we'll see. Yesterday we had tons of errands to do so I didn't get any crafting done---which is why there isn't a new creation today.

Anyhoo, I'm having a serious case of Veruca Salts from Willy Wonka!! I want it all and I want it now---in regards to stamps!! There are so many awesome stamps out there and so little funds in my account to buy them with!!

So my question to you~~ how do you choose what stamps/crafty supplies to buy?

See you tomorrow for my Flutter By Wednesday!!

It's hard not to be tempted by everything out there.

But, I've come to understand what I'll use practically. I rarely buy seasonal stamp set anymore, they're hard to use out of season...unless you're making Christmas cards ahead, etc. They just aren't practical for me...a few sets is all I need, yk?

You just really have to analyze what you're using versus what sits around unused. Take a look at your blog or the cards you've made for the last 6 months, you'll see what you gravitate toward.

I have this ongoing wish list in my head and since I suffer from can't remember sh!t, some of them fall off unintentionally, so I save some money there, lol. Also I can't seem to recall which ones are still on the wishlist and which ones I actually bought, so again, I save money, lol. And you know some are a lot like the ones I bought a few years ago, so I have to ask myself if I really want the knew one and then agree that if I want the knew one, I have to get rid of the old one, which I have yet to do, lol. I know, I am no help.

Rofl!!

I think I'm having a permanent "Salt" moment when it comes to my crafting!
No spare pennies to replace what is running out, never mind to buy all of the fabulous NEW stuff that's coming out! Lol..
Ah well... I'm sure it will get better..

Hugs,
And I hope the kidlets don't drive you crazy.xx

I'm in such a permanent Veruca Salt state that my brain bounces around in my head till I pass out and forget what I wanted in favour of the new thing I see that I want, I want, I want... LOL!

Hi Danni
I have not come across a crafter who would not want it all! Also I have not come across a crafter who would have to sit and stare at bear walls because they did not have enough of unused crafting stash already but still eyeballing constantly something new and forgetting about using stuff they bought that not long ago! There is always a possibility to recycle an ordinary stuff you have laying around the house which would normally end up in the rubbish bin. Also using your imagination can go a long way with no need to spend any money on a new stuff. Crafting is unbearably expensive with so much on offer.. that's for sure!

I definitely want it ALL and have a hubby that lets me splurge a lot. I tend to wait til my wish list gets big and to make sure I still want it then I go on a spending spree. Just placed big orders with MFT & SU! :)

I actually buy very little these days, as funds are very limited. That's not to say I don't want it all! But, I try to think of what I would realistically get use out of - what won't 'retire' before a publication deadline, etc.... great question, Danni!

I want it all, too...so keep a notebook by my computer for my "wish list"....I still have thngs in it for 2010, and still want whats on the list.....I sell some things on Ebay then buy some from the list...but my room is FULL of stuff that I "had to have" and haven't even opened yet...oh well, it's there when I need it...but my grandma always used to say "get your wants and your needs straight".....lol...think I will put that on a mixed media canvas!!

I only wish I could get more crafting time in when my kiddos are home...it seems like I get nothing done when they're here, lol.

Deciding which stamps to buy is hard...if it makes me smile It goes on my wish list.

I do like Holly does about wanting stamps and things. I keep a wish list in my head - then eventually i lose track of what I wanted - but lately - my mind just goes blank. So there you have it, no money spent and more in the bank. lol If you find the perfect answer be sure and let us all know. joann sassy raggedy
