You can find out all the details on the blog, but I wanted to give a huge shout out to the companies who helped make this HUGE giveaway possible!

So a huge thank you to the following, in no particular order~
Onto my creation for today! The challenge this week is to make a birthday card and use a sketch designed for Flutter By Wednesday by the talented Mercy!! Of course, your creation has to have a butterfly, fairy or angel on it and for this special giveaway, you will have had to have played along with the challenge before.

Here's the fabulous sketch by Mercy~
Here's my creation~ Hope you have your sunglasses handy as I went a tad bright with this one, LOL!

    Try it out with a "T" #82

This week's challenge was a super easy one! Use 3 products from Susana's store as well as a stamp from her store!

Be sure to visit the store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see what the other design team members created!

I had to ink up another one of the new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Animapeeps! They are just too cute!! I chose Spot of Tea to work with today. I thought it also fitting to use the Tea at Elsie's Collection of paper too! I used some Prima flowers and then colored them with my copic and then sprayed them with Psstt Shimmer Spritz. I used my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen for the little pearls.

I used Sketch Saturday's Sketch for the week, Sketch #118.

    supplies:
Oh my word!! You MUST see the new stamp line that Susana is carrying now!! Way too cute! I can not wait to order these!
You can see the Pergamano Stamps- HERE!!!  Are they wonderful or what!!!

    Lollipop Crafts Challenge #5

Time for another Lollipop Crafts Challenge!! Before I get to today's challenge though I have some news~
    Lollipop Crafts DT Badge
I am now a full time design team member vs. a guest designer!! Yay! I look forward to designing for this fun challenge!

Onto the challenge for today~ Create a sympathy card. Hope you'll visit the Lollipop Crafts Challenge blog to see what the other team members have created and also to see how you can play along.

I must admit this is not a favorite type of card for me to make but it is one we unfortunately must make from time to time. I kept mine very CAS (clean and simple).

    supplies:
    • card size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
    • stamps: PMS Faith, Hope, Love, and TAC With Sympathy for the sentiment
    • paper: SU  cardstock,
    • ink: SU Blush Blossom, SU Dusty Durango, SU Basic Brown
    • others:
We are also sponsored this week by Fairy Knoll. The winner will receive 3 digis of their choice. The design team were provided with images to use, I didn't feel they were quite right for a sympathy card so here's a separate card using Magic.

    Binkies Rule

This is another one of the super cute and sweet images from the latest release from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD! This one is Binkies Rule, how cute, right?

I was in a fun mood so I decided to color this little cutie pink.

    Here's the challenges I'm entering this into~
    Here's Mercy's sketch:

    supplies:
On a side note, I treated myself to a birthday gift, a week early! I am now enrolled in Suzanne's, Color Me Creative Copic 1 class ! I decided that I wanted to learn more about these addicting markers and she is so talented! I must say, if you're on the edge about taking these classes, just do it! The amount of work that Suzanne has put into this is amazing!! I would recommend these classes to anyone!

    Ahhh...Saturday!

I don't know why, but this week just really kicked my behind. I just couldn't "get it together". I didn't visit blogs, barely kept up with my card making and well, just was plain "out of it".

I am so hopeful that this next week is MUCH better! Hehe! Especially since there are so many awesome things happening this week...be sure you check back often!!

But for today, I was looking at some challenges and spied a popular theme, back to school so I thought this Pure Innocence -You Make The Grade image would be perfect!

The challenges I'm entering this card into are~(I think this is a record number for me!! LOL!)
I paper pieced her skirt. Love the way the chalkboard came out! I had colored it and then stamped it with VersaMagic Cloud White but it didn't show up so I figured it needed to be darker, I colored over it and it faintly appeared so then I went over it with my white pen~ it looks just like chalk in real life. The sewing is faux as I was too lazy to move the sewing machine.

    Release day at SCACD!!

**this is my second post for today! Please scroll down to see my Makeup 4 The Weekend card**

Howdy!! Hope you all are having a fabulous Friday!! Today is the release day at Susana's store of the new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD stamps, The Animapeeps Collection! Such cute, cute stamps! Be sure to head on over and order yours today!!

Here's a few cards I made with these fun, cutie pie new stamps~

First up we have Just Ducky! Isn't she oh so adorable with her fun umbrella? (I know it's a frog or maybe it's a ladybug? Regardless, it is cute and fun!)

I stamped the umbrella twice and cut one out and put on pop dots for some fun dimension. I used my Tuxedo Smooch on the dots on the umbrella.

    supplies:
Next I used the oh so sweet, Sweet Slumbers. Wish I could cozy up in a pea pod and take a little nap!!

This is the first card I've used my new nestabilities on and well, yup, I'm in love! LOL! I had difficulty photographing this but in real life it is really pretty with all the different textures from the embossing.

I also used my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen on the flowers for a slightly pearly touch vs. sparkly.

    supplies:
Now what are you waiting for? Go order your stamps now!! hehe!

    Maybe later...

I was going on full steam and then poof....I stopped. Between allergies, not sleeping, not feeling the greatest and getting things ready for Matthew's birthday, I just didn't have the energy to create anything for today so I gave myself permission to take the night off.

    Makeup 4 The Weekend #39

Time for another Makeup 4 The Weekend challenge! This week the talented Christi S. has given us the challenge of using 4 of any one embellishment and the main image must be on a circle.

This challenge is in honor of her turning the big "4-0"!! Happy Birthday Christi S.! and also a big Happy Birthday to my sweet boy, Matthew who is turning 9 today!!

Be sure to check out the PMS Blog to see how you can play along and also to see what the other makeup artists have created!

For my creation I decided to ink up Maya Fairy as she's been neglected...so very sad. Isn't she so fun?? Makes me just want to jump for joy...if it wouldn't hurt my knees..hehe!

I used the paper, ribbon and buttons all from The Will To Daydream Card Kit. These kits that Katie is putting together are awesome!!

I added a few touches of sparkle in with the dots highlighting/shadowing her, is it too much sparkle? What am I saying? You can never have too much sparkle, right?

I really like how this turned out...what do you think?

The Wild Flower Patch Challenge #29

Had to share that Susana got in some FAB new goodies~~

    Wednesday, August 18, 2010

    It's Thursday...that means....

It's time for new releases by Meljen's Designs at Whimsy Stamps!!

There are some super fun ones today! Cute Cooking Canisters, Little Cooking Utensils, Lovely Little Apron, I Heart You Badge and Oval Cherry Frame.

You can find them all HERE! Be sure to look around the store too...lots of wonderful stamps--both digital and rubber!!

For my first creation, I used the new Oval Cherry Frame with the cute Cherry Mouse to make a cute card. I'm not very computer savvy, yet, so I printed each image separately and then combined them. I know you can combine them on the computer before you print it out, but I haven't got that far yet! LOL!

    supplies:
Next I used the new I Heart You Badge to make a cute lil card.

I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch for this week, Sketch Challenge # 87.

    supplies:
I have ideas for the other new digis~~ think recipe cards or tags to go on food items you give as gifts....hopefully I can get those made and share them soon!

    JUGS and The Wild West

When looking through some challenges, I spied Just Us Girls (JUGS) Challenge for the week which is to create a card with a Wild West Theme

I have several stamps that would work for this but finally decided on one of my favorites that I don't use nearly enough, Taylor from Victoria Case for SCACD Hearts & Hugs Collection 2. Every time I see her I just want to say " Howdy Ya'll"!

    FBW118

Woo-hoo! Wednesday means another Flutter By Challenge!! This week the challenge is a Flutter By Recipe~ 1 part sparkle, 2 parts designer paper and 3 parts buttons or gems. Of course you have to have a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation too!  Be sure to visit my Flutter By Team (links on sidebar) for some wonderful inspiration!!

Onto my creation~ I've been wanting to color up this new digi, Rose Butterfly so I thought today would be the perfect chance!! Isn't it gorgeous??

I used the sketch from The Sweet Stop~SSS69.

    supplies:
Also wanted to mention that there is a store wide clearance at Whimsy Stamps! Be sure to check it out!

    Freebie Spesch Designer Stamps Genie!

Have you visited the Spesch Designer Stamps blog lately? No? Then you're missing out on the freebie that Tracey posted!! Better head on over there before it's gone!

What a fun image...this genie or Djinn (whatever you want to call her) looks so lost in thought to me...wonder what she's thinking about??

I used my Creative Inspirations Paint for alot of this image as it seemed to need that sheer, shimmer look. I sort of messed up one part too so to fix it I added sparkle..lots of sparkle. Hehe!

    Try It Out with a "T" #81

**Please be sure to scroll down for my first post of the day! Thanks!**

Our challenge today is Stencil It! Use either Dreamweaver stencils or Crafter's Workshop Templates on our projects! So many fun ways to use them~ with embossing pastes, micas, Viva Decor products and etc.!

If in doubt, there are some great videos by design team member, Marti to give you some ideas~~ herehere, here, and  here.

Be sure to visit Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see what the other design team members came up with! I know they'll knock your socks off!!

I started by taking my template, taping one corner to hold it in place (as I knew I'd be cutting it down in size) onto my cardstock and then I sponged on several different colors of ink.

Next I took my Copic 0.3 Multiliner and outlined all the "white" spaces. (Note-if you do this, cut down your cardstock first so you don't do some of this detailed work for nothing...take my word for it).

After I outlined the entire piece (note, very time consuming but it looks awesome) then I cut it down to the size I wanted for my card. (Would've made more sense to do this first but you know, sometimes we learn as we go!)

I decided on a 5x5 size as I just had to show off how pretty this looks!! Next I attached this piece to some black cardstock, sort of as a base/mat. Next came the really fun part...we all know I love sparkle so I took my Viva Decor Holographic Liner and went to town adding sparkle to parts of this background.

I must admit the next step was the hardest for me...hehe...setting the piece aside and letting it dry. Hehe! Once it had dried, I just couldn't bring myself to cover up any of the flowers so I just added some ribbon and some butterflies with Viva Decor Glitter liner on them as well to make a card.

    Lollipop Crafts Challenge #3

I am the host of this week's challenge at Lollipop Crafts! I chose the theme of Pets! Hope you can play along with us this week! Visit the blog for all the details!

Anyone who knows me knows I love animals and my pets!! What is a pet theme challenge without a few photos of my pups? Hehehe! These were taken last week~

And here's my creation for today's challenge~ I decided to ink up a stamp I got a while ago that sadly hasn't been inky...so sad! I just adore the Oliver and Amelia sets from The Greeting Farm.

I had fun with the fish bowl and used my Diamond Glaze on it so it would have the appearance of glass.

I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers, Sketch #115
