Winter Emma

One of the images from the last Elisabeth Bell for SCACD release, a never before seen stamp is this cutie, Winter Emma. Love her sweet lil' kitty cat!

Just a reminder that the awesome sale that Susana (for those in the US) and Elaine (for those in Europe)  are running ends on the 4th! Here's the sale again~

Super stamp sale - Between the 27th thru the 4th Buy ANY SCACD Exclusive Set OR 4 of ANY SCACD Exclusive stamps and get ONE free stamp from the Exclusive SCACD stamp line -Susana's or Elaine's CHOICE. SCACD Exclusives stamps are those designed by Elisabeth Bell, Victoria Case, Carmen Medlin and (Anki in the US only) HERE.

I'm also entering this into this week's SSC Copic Challenge Group's challenge which is to use another coloring medium along with your copics. The shadow around the image is done with prismacolors and OMS. Remember if you use another medium with your copics, always do your copic coloring first so you don't ruin your markers.

The little details~ Winter Emma, copics, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, prismacolor pencils, odorless mineral spirits, cardstock, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, Martha Stewart punch,Doodlebug Mini Jewels, Prima flowers, sparkly fluff, stickles,

Oh Fairy Godmother...where are you?

It's time for the kids to return to school...Sam to work and I get to have fun with all the cleaning and all that jazz. I'm thinking bon bons and soaps sound better...better yet, bon bons and stamps! LOL!

I took a break yesterday from creating and played a computer game, Zoo Tycoon 2, all day.

I'll be back soon with some more creations though!!! Until then...if you see that fairy Godmother, can you send her my way? or even a cleaning fairy or laundry fairy??

Have a happy day!

I got your back!

This image, I got your back , from the last release by Victoria Case for SCACD is just the cutest! I love the little penguin! Now wouldn't that be a fun story to tell about sledding with your lil' penguin friend?

I thought it would be fun to use the Hanging Holiday Sled from My Time Made Easy to put this cutie on. I used my Make The Cut software and cricut to create the sled.

I used my nesties to cut out this fun image and then I added some sparkly fluff to her earmuff and some Polar White Flower Soft for snow. I also added touches of sparkle with my copic glitter pens.

I finished off my sled with some pretty poinsettias from Petaloo. I love how this turned out. I think it'll be a decoration this year in my house!

The little details~ I got your back, Memento Tuxedo Black, copics, cardstock, nestabilities, sparkly fluff, Polar White flower soft, copic glitter pens, Petaloo Poinsettias, scor-tape

Paper Pretties- Clean and Simple

**this is my 3rd post for the day**

One more card for today. The challenge at Paper Pretties this week is to create a Clean and Simple card

Here's what I came up with using the Best Friends set.

I love the 80's

**this is my second post for the day**

It's no secret that I love the 80's. So when I saw the Corrosive Challenge this week--Inspired by the 80's-- I had to play along!

What better image than The Greeting Farm's 80's Anya for this challenge!! So fun! Sentiment is from a retired TAC set, So Glam.

So mad at myself as I smeared some of the Smooch that I put on the outside of the nestie onto Anya's mouth and a few other places. I tried to fix them but it really didn't turn out like I wanted. Sigh.

Rachel, Little Angel

Last year I did a "shopping" theme on my blog for Black Friday for all you brave souls who go out and get the deals. I thought about doing that again this year but then decided that instead I'd make this my whatever day.

I'm just going to create cards with "whatever" I want. Hehe. For no reason, just because. I'm not listing supplies but I will list what the images are/who makes them and any challenges they might qualify for. I don't expect comments on all my posts today, just figured it would be easier to have them separate for challenges.

Enjoy~~

First I used Rachel, Little Angel from Elisabeth Bell. Sentiment is TAC- Fairy Birthday.

I am entering her into Paper Sundaes #45-a sketch

Spec-TAC-ular Thursday- A Thousand Thanks

For all my American blogging friends, Happy Thanksgiving. I hope your day is full of blessings and you take time to really reflect on what you are thankful for. Not just the "normal" things...but some little things you've never acknowledged. We are all blessed, it's just whether we choose to see those blessings.

Be sure to visit my dear friend, Michelle, who is finally feeling a bit better, so you can see her Spec-TAC-ular Thursday creations too!

For today's Spec-TAC-ular Thursday I used a new hostess set found in the fall supplement, A Thousand Thanks.  Feel free to contact me if you're interested in this set and we can set up a catalog FUNshop!

I am taking the day off from listing all the materials/supplies used, but please feel free to contact me with any questions! All sentiments are from the featured set, A Thousand Thanks. All other images are from TAC as well ( Thinking Sweet Thoughts hostess set and Bold Hello).

FBW #132

It's Wednesday so that means it's time for another Flutter By Wednesday! This week's theme is Thank You plus a butterfly, fairy or angel. Be sure to visit my Flutter By Team--links on sidebar--for some fabulous inspiration.

I used a Kraftin' Kimmie fairy that hasn't seen ink, Flower Fairy. I masked her and added some clouds behind her. I used my super fun Cosmo Cricket Pixie-Licious paper--I just adore this paper, so fun!! I ran out of room on the front for the sentiment so I added it on the inside. For my sparkle I used stardust pens and stickles.

When I was photographing this card I realized how it looks like she's floating on the flower in the air. Next time I'll have to add some ground! LOL!

When looking for a layout, I decided to try this week's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #81. I've seen many talented crafters entering this challenge but it's my first time. They have 2 sketches, a plain version and a more embellished one, I chose the more embellished one to gather my inspiration from.

The little details~ Flower Fairy, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, copics, cardstock scraps, stencil, blue ink, Cosmo Cricket Pixie-Licious, Martha Stewart border punch, Petaloo flowers, rhinestones from my stash, stardust pens, stickles,

In the moment

I've been itchin' to ink up the new "Never seen before" Victoria Case for SCACD image, In The Moment. I just smile everytime I see this image!

I thought the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers would be perfect with this fun image. I cut the image out with a nestabilities die and then it dawned on me that I had meant to mask this image and make clouds and grass....next time!

Sentiment is from a retired TAC set, It's the little things. Of course I had to have some sparkle so I used my copic glitter pens to add some sparkle to some areas.

Also wanted to share that Susana has started a new feature, Monday SCACD Specials! This week she is offering 15% off all Petaloo products! Quantities limited to stock on hand and sale runs through Sunday Nov. 28, 2010.

A special note too that the store will be closed from noon on Wednesday the 24th through Friday the 26th so Susana can spend time with her family.

The little details~ In The Moment, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, copics, cardstock scraps, Basic Grey Max and Whiskers, nestabilities, border punch, corner punch, TAC retired-It's the little things, pearls from my stash, copic glitter pens,

I feel like a princess

Do you remember this sad day for me?

Lookie what I got today--there was a misunderstanding at the jeweler and they didn't solder them together so I'll have to take them back but I just had to have them for a bit to show!!

I feel so accomplished!

My scraps, especially my cardstock scraps, were out of control so I sat down and organized them! I went through them all and instead of just having one place for all of them just thrown in, I separated them by color into 3 containers...3-4 colors per container. I can even close the lids! Woo-hoo! I feel like I conquered the scraps! Now hopefully this will help me use them even more!

My kids are on Thanksgiving break for the week and we don't have many plans so hopefully that means lots of crafty time but we'll see.

I thought I'd like to play along with some challenges so first off we have the Paper Pretties challenge which is to create a thank you card. I had planned on using Everyday Lily for this but....then I saw my friend Nancy had used her (and did a fab job) so I challenged myself to use something different.

Here's what I came up with using Giving Thanks Sophia. I paper pieced her dress and bow as they just screams paper piecing. The paper is some new Basic Grey Curio.

I used the sketch from this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #94.

The little details~ Giving Thanks Sophia, Memento Tuxedo Black, copics, Basic Grey Curio, cardstock scraps--yup, I actually USED them!, nestabilities, copic mult-liner, dew drops--on sale!, flowers, Prima card jewelry, stickles,

Crazy 4 Challenges is going in circles!

This week's Crazy 4 Challenges theme is circles! How fun and easy is that?

I really wanted to ink up the Carmin Medlin for SCACD stamp, First Signs of Fall, so I thought this would be the perfect time. Even though it's called the First Signs of Fall, I decided to make it more of a wintery/holiday card.

I used the very pretty Memory Box Spiceberry papers and since one of them had little polka dots I paper pieced the coat with that. To help the details stand out more on the paper pieced coat, I went over them with my Copic multi-liner. For her dress I used my fav Creative Inspirations Paint in Autumn Wheat so it would have some shimmer.

I added some of my fun new flowers from Petaloo~ Mixed Rose Leaves and Velvet Poinsettias. My doodles around the image are done with a gold copic glitter pen. To finish the card I just added some gold pearls from my stash.

The little details~ First Signs of Fall, cardstock, Memento Tuxedo Black, copics, Memory Box Spiceberry, copic multi-liner, Creative Inspirations Paint, CM cutting system, Petaloo flowers, Quickutz flourish die, copic glitter pens, gold pearls from my stash

Anything goes...really?

The challenge this week at SSC Copic Challenge Group is anything goes. Really? I think sometimes those challenges are harder than ones with specific guidelines, at least for me they are.

Of course the hardest part for me is to figure out what stamp to use. After looking through my stamp image catalogs for what seemed like hours I finally decided to ink up one of my Miss Anya Lounge stamps as they've never been inked...sigh.

I stamped her twice and cut one out to layer for some dimension. For my paper I used some of my favorite TAC paper, Rustic Chic. I had fun with my new Doodlebug Mini Jewels too..must get more of these!

When looking at the sketches I had saved on my computer, I decided on one from the old bella forum on SCS.
Anyone have any tips/suggestions for me on adding sentiments? I struggle with that so much. Like this card, I really wanted to add a sentiment but didn't know where/how to put one...anyone? suggestions/tips?? Thanks!

Be sure to check out my flutter by teams creations-- links on the sidebar--and also visit the Flutter By Wednesday Blog to see the current challenge!

Have a happy day!
