A cute lil’ digi for you today from Whimsy and Stars Studio-Mabelle RO. This is Posie Fairy and I’m hoping she’s bringing that cupcake to me!! LOL! Even though my birthday is still a month away..hehe!!

Everyday Princess

At my last craft group meeting I challenged myself by taking my prismacolors vs. my copics. I have always loved the pencils but never tried shading with them so I thought why not!

Here’s one of the images I colored, Everyday Princess by Tiddly Inks. I think I did a pretty good job on the shading, especially the hair.

This is one of the level B reward sets, Always Be Fabulous, from the current TAC catalog. I think she’s just so fun and funky!

I added texture to her jeans by using a piece of old denim from Sam’s jeans and some colorless blender solution.

That’s Krafty Thursday #52

When I was looking at challenges to play along with to get my mojo moving, I found Krafty Thursday #52 and thought it would be the perfect challenge as I always mean to play along but rarely do!

One thing I’ve wanted to try was using my prismacolors on the kraft cardstock so that’s what I did! I used one of the latest releases from SCACD, Daisy Doll by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. Isn’t she cute?

I was inspired by this card for my layout. For some reason the photo doesn’t make it look like the purples match but they really do in real life.

I got sidetracked…

I ended up playing Risk with Sam and Matthew all afternoon instead of crafting but it was fun so that’s all that matters--and no, I didn’t win. LOL!

To help jumpstart my creativity I thought I’d do some window shopping…and oh my!

Is it really Wednesday already?

Geesh! I can’t keep up with the days while Sam is on leave! but my calendar does say it’s Wednesday so that means it’s time for another Flutter By Wednesday Challenge!!

Using a new approach

Usually when designing a card or project I always start with the stamp/image first. Well, I decided today to start with the leftovers from a kit I got, errr, umm…last July from Paper Makeup Stamps. I thought I could see what I could come up with by starting the opposite of my normal process.

I had so much fun doing my card this way! Really made me think outside my normal ideas! I think I’ll be trying this more often!

I got the idea to use fun flock--always forget I have it!--from this card on SCS. I paper pieced her dress too! {sigh, my poster paint pen blobbed on her bow, hope I fixed it well enough}

Yay! I *finally* got this card put together and posted! It’s been on my desk for a week, geesh! I’m trying to get in the swing of things again but it might be a slow going thing, bear with me!!

Had to share this photo I took yesterday on our first hike here in Washington. Despite feeling like I was going to die, I did it! LOL! The waterfalls were just gorgeous and worth the pain..I think!!

Miss me?

Sorry I’ve been absent--so much fun that I’m totally exhausted…LOL!

Tuesday and Wednesday we were at The Great Wolf Lodge. Totally an amazing place and so much fun. Tuesday was one of the best days ever!! I don’t know when I’ve seen all of us smile and laugh and have so much fun! We’re already planning another trip back around Christmas time! I can’t wait!!

Thursday we went to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle---in the cold and rain! I guess we’re true Washington people now. It was a nice zoo and had a fun dinosaur exhibit that was fun.

Friday, well, totally unexpected but we got me a new car! I totally loved my Chevy Cobalt that I just got last year but with us moving and wanting to go hiking and camping with us AND the dogs, it just wasn’t practical so we got a Jeep Compass! It’s so nice but an adjustment to get use to after my little car. I can’t wait to try it out with the dogs on Monday.

So this weekend I’m trying to rest up as I’m exhausted and also trying to get caught up some. Next week we have plans too but hopefully I can get inky some too! I do have a card almost done to share soon!
