Basic Birds

When I first saw this stamp set, Basic Birds by TAC, I thought there was no way I'd ever like them. Then a group I'm on decided to enter a magazine contest thing so we all used the same stamp--this was the set. Since then I have really gotten to like them.
I used my Basic Grey Sugared paper and an old sketch I found in my notebook. Not sure who it's by but I thought it was neat. I used a CM border ruler thingy I have for the wavy edge.
For the main image I did one of my favorite techniques, Crinkled Chalk. It is so easy and I love the way it looks. Then I paper pieced my bird with the same patterned paper--love these images for paper piecing!!
