Trees of the Field

In case you missed my little announcement yesterday, I have been asked to be one of the December guest designers for Sweet n' Sassy Stamps. I think I'm still in shock and keep pinching myself to make sure it's real. LOL! I'm very flattered that they asked me and hope I do the two wonderful stamp sets justice this month!
I also must admit I'm a bit intimidated...hehe...have you seen the awesome samples by the design team?? Wow!! 
My first card uses Trees of the Field. It is a special set for the memory of Henry Anderson. I have mentioned the Anderson family before, they suddenly lost their sweet angel, Henry, a month ago. $5.00 from every Trees of the Field set sold will go to the Andersons. 
It really is a versatile set and really pretty....you know you need it!!
Here's my first creation with this wonderful set~~

supplies:

• card size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
  
• stamps: Trees of the Field,
• paper: SU cardstock,
  
• ink: SU Mellow Moss, SU Pretty In Pink,
  
• others: nestabilities, tiny butterfly punch,  CTMH pearls, stickles,
  

What I did:
I stamped my tree in mellow moss. I used my nesties to cut out the image. While the image was still in my die, I sponged pretty in pink around the edges. I used a larger nestie to make the mat for the circle. I struggled to find paper to match but I found some in my stash, finally. I cut one more mat out with my nesties so the image would stand out against the paper and I also pierced the scallops.

I punched some tiny butterflies out to go around the tree, stamped the sentiment in basic black, added some stickles to the butterflies, and then a few embellishments to finish the card.
