Apple Girl

The minute I saw the October Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit, I knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to pair it with!! My retired TAC, Apple Girls.

Here's what I came up with~

I used last week's Mojo Monday #162 sketch~

supplies:
  • card size: 5 x 5
  • stamps: TAC retired- Apple Girls,
  • paper: from the October TE Key Ingredients Kit,
  • ink: Memento Tuxedo Black,
  • others: copics, nestabilities, CM border ruler, buttons from October TE Key Ingredients Kit,

Happy Halloween!

Hope that everyone has a wonderful, fun, and safe day today!!

Today I have a bit of news to share. For a while now I have known that I've become so consumed with stamping and all the crafty supplies that go with it..that I was in denial about how much I was spending. Also in denial about how much stress I have been causing myself with worrying about this detail and that stamp and so on.

Things just seemed to just spiral until finally I sat down and woke up and realized what was happening. Something had to change!

So after a lot of thought and discussions with Sam and my good friends, I came to a solution.

I have stepped down from the Spesch Designer Stamps design team, the Whimsy Stamps Digi design team and Paper Makeup Stamps design team. I truly did this with a heavy heart and I am so grateful for each company for giving me a chance to design for them.

I will be participating in one more blog hop for the Whimsy Digi Team and I will be with PMS for this week's release so check back this week for fun stuff!

My next plan of action is to go back to my stamping roots. I am going to be re-joining The Angel Company

I am also staying on Susana's Custom Art and Card Design's design team. I had thought of stepping down from it too but my heart wouldn't let me. I have been on the team for almost 2 years and truly feel it is where I want to be. I have such a special place in my heart for Susana, I just couldn't step down.

I hope by re-focusing my stamping attentions to these two companies maybe I can control my spending a bit more and maybe make a little too!

So what does that mean for my blog and stamping? Not a whole lot of difference, I still plan on posting daily and sharing tips and such when I can, just I will be using more TAC stamps and products and if you want to purchase them, I can help ya out..hehe!

I will still continue use other companies stamps and papers/supplies (I have too much to NOT use them)--love them too much--but I will not be linking to their stores.

Hope you continue to visit me and join me on this new journey! I have lots of fun and creative ideas swirling in my head to show you!

Hope Awareness Fairy

I've had this stamp for quite a while now and sadly it's not been inky. I thought it would be a nice stamp for October, for Breast Cancer Awareness, but I can see how it could be used for other occassions/ribbons as well.

I used this tutorial for making the tent topper card.

supplies:

Post it Note holder

I really should never say never! LOL! First I said I was never going to stamp, umm, yeah. Then I was never going to buy those "expensive" markers..umm, yeah, was never going to try any of those "fancy" techniques, umm yeah, and I most certainly was not ever going to like doing "projects". Sigh. Guess it was only a matter of time before I caught the project bug.

A main reason has been playing around with the Make The Cut software on the Cricut but even then, there are tons of neat things to make easily. So today I decided I wanted to try these cute little Post It Note holders I've seen so often.

This is also the first time I've tried the Out of the Box with Nestabilities technique too. That was fun and I can see myself doing that more!

This was so easy and I can see they would make great easy gifts for teachers and such. This first one is a bit off but not to shabby for a first try!

supplies:
  • stamps: TAC Wonder and Joy,
  • paper: scraps,PTI cardstock,
  • ink: Memento Tuxedo Black,
  • others: scor-tape, copics, nestabilities, Martha Stewart punch, rhinestones from my stash,

Time for another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!

Last year I shared how I catalog my rubber/acrylic stamps in THIS post. Having that catalog has sure helped me 100% in knowing what I have and "seeing" the stamps helps me use some I might not usually use.

A friend asked how I store my digi stamps so I know what I have. Well, if you remember right, I was a huge NON-Digi fan for the longest time.....now I must confess that I am a huge digi fan and have quite the collection of them.

So I started by printing out the digis just on regular paper by company at first and putting it in a 3-ring binder.

Well, as the addiction grew, that was really hard to do so now, everytime I get a new digi, I add it to a Word document in a very small size, print it out when the page is as full as I'd like and then write what company and what the image is called.

This has helped me greatly too and saved time from going from folder to folder on my computer looking at images.

So that's what is on my workdesk this Wednesday...my catalog of digi stamps!

Have a happy day!

insert witty title here

I have TONS of ideas in my head for cards and projects...just sadly I haven't had a moment to sit down and create. Sunday night I sliced my thumb  and it was hurting pretty bad so I took the night off and then Monday I was just so super busy with Cinderella chores and whatnot that I was just too worn out to create.

But...my thumb is doing tons better and I have nothing on the agenda for today so I "hope" to have some things to show ya in a bit!

Don't forget to check out the newest puzzle piece for the new release and enter the blog candy at Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart.

Cat O Lantern

Did you check out the latest Meljen's Designs Digi's that came out on Thursday? No? Well you best head on over to Whimsy Stamps and check them out..oh so cute!!

I couldn't pass up making one more Halloween card with this cute new image, Cat O' Lantern. How adorable!!

I played around with my Make The Cut software some and was excited to figure out how to create a card with the weld feature. I'm loving this software!

It's not perfect but a good learning card and my little Belle will love it on Halloween..if she doesn't spy it before then!

Also sharing one more puppet I made for Belle today using a free image from Tiddly Inks.

So very blessed

I hope to have some creations to share later in the day, unless that darn couch nabs me again. It already has tried to lure me in this morning with a nice warm cozy blanket and a fun movie--Madagascar 2--I like to move it, move it..

Anyway, I just wanted to say THANK YOU! I feel so blessed this morning. I have a wonderful family and such wonderful friends...in "real life" and my online blogging friends. I can't believe that I have over 400 followers on my blog now. It just touches my heart so much that there are that many people who want to visit my blog. THANK YOU!!

Don't forget to enter the blog candy over at Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart. There's a puzzle piece up too for ya to guess at! I so can't wait to share this release with you!!
Have a happy day and smile! Why not tell someone today how much they mean to you!

I'll leave ya with this..hehe~~

Secretive Tilda

I know, I know, another post from me. Okay, I'll let you in on a secret. I have been addicted to playing games on Facebook lately. I finally took a look at how much time I was on there and wow...decided to stop cold turkey on the two biggest time wasters.

Soooo...that leaves me my time to create again..and it feels GOOD!! so this weekend I'm just having fun with whatever inspires me at that moment...just to get creating again!

I must admit that even thought I've been doing a few cards here and there, I haven't been practicing at the copic skills I have learned and I feel pretty rusty. Glad I have my second copic class at the Color Me Creative Classroom!

This card is for the Copic Challenge Group challenge for the week at SSC. The challenge is to create a card with Caucasian skin tones and brown hair with variations or highlights.

Thought this was the perfect time to use one of my poorly neglected Magnolias! I stamped the image twice and cut one out and added it on top of the other one which I sponged with ink first. I used another new paper pad, Kaisercraft Homemade 6x6.

I used the sketch from this week's Friday Sketchers #125. My layers are off a tad but they're still there.

supplies:

Pumpkin Tiny Girl

If you're familiar with The Angel Company, then you know how totally adorable the Mabelle RO stamps are. I think I own almost all of them.

I was sooo excited to find out that she had opened an Etsy store to offer some digi stamps!! I'm telling you, these are just TOO CUTE!!

On the first day she launched her store, she gave away a free image to those who commented on her blog. Luckily I was one of those people so here's my first card using Pumpkin Tiny Girl.

I also had to use one of my new paper pads...oh my, I am so in love with this paper~~ Prima Fairy Flora

Oh no! I'm laughing at myself! I was having so much fun creating this card that I didn't pay attention when I put it together and it opens backwards! LOL! Guess it'll go to someone who is a very close friend! LOL! Speaking of which, I need new RAK addresses...if anyone would like to be on  my RAK list, please email me your address. Thanks! (I don't expect anything in return, I just love sending cards!)

I used today's The Sweet Stop Sketch #79.

Witchy Fairy for FBW #127

I love the October Card Kit from PMS but was worried I wouldn't have a chance to play with it before Halloween. I'm glad I remembered it for this week's Flutter By Challenge!

(Did you know that the fall/Halloween stamps are on sale at PMS? only for a limited time so hurry on over!!)

Onto my card~ I had fun coloring this fun fairy. I, of course, had to be a bit different as I wanted the cat to be a different color than black...I'm sure all witch fairies don't have just black cats! I think he might have gotten into a bit of the witch's brew or was messing around with some of the magic spells though.

I'm entering this into the following challenges--I believe a new record for me...lucky for me the theme was similar on so many of them!

-Stampin' For The Weekend #49- Halloween/Fall
-Cupcake Inspirations #81- I took my inspiration from the cupcake with the witch's hat

-Stamp With Fun #81-Halloween
-Magical Monday's #7- Halloween
-Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #96

-A Spoon Full of Sugar #126- Boo-Halloween
-Creative Inspirations #83-Spooky
-The Sisterhood of Crafters- A Boo-rific challenge
-Dutch Dare Card Challenges #89-Halloween or purple/black/orange/green
