Dear Diary...

Dearest Diary,
Thank you for all the wonderful blessings in my life. For all the wonderful, kind blogging friends who visit my blog regularly and leave such encouraging comments. Without them, I would not have reached many of my goals for 2009 and I'm looking forward to lots of happy fun things in 2010.
Happy New Year and keep my friends and family safe!

TGF's Sketch #5

Here's the 5th sketch in The Greeting Farm's 12 days of sketches. Slowly I'm getting them done...LOL!
This one is by Mercy--love her sketches!

Here's what I came up with~

supplies:
What I did:
  • stamped Lottie onto my cardstock with memento ink and colored with copics
  • added touches of copic glitter pen to her bows and apron
  • picked papers, added some doodles around the edge of Lottie and the apple, then finished the card with a few tiny embellishments

Album question....

One of my goals for the new year is to scrapbook more (more on my goals later)....anyhoo, I've been using these 3 ring binder type album from Hobby Lobby as they hold lots of pages and are easy to rearrange the pages since I scrap out of chronological order. I just went to Hobby Lobby to get more and it looks like they are either discontinuing them or cutting back on their stock. So long story made short, what kind of albums do you use if you're a scrapper and why.....
Thanks!

Edited....maybe they were just low because I realize now they were on sale....I'm hopeful that's the case....but if it's not...what kind do you like?

TGF's Sketch #4

Here's the 4th sketch of The Greeting Farm's 12 days of Sketches. I am so behind but I'm trying! LOL! This is another one by Mercy!

This one had me stumped for a bit but here's what I came up with~

supplies:
What I did:
  • stamped Princess Anya onto my cardstock with memento ink and colored with copics
  • stamped another Princess Anya onto my designer paper and cut out her dress for paper piecing
  • picked out papers, inked the edges and finished the card up by adding stickles to her crown and wand

Last Guest Designer post for Sweet n' Sassy

I can't believe my month as guest designer has flew by so fast! I really enjoyed working with the stamps from Sweet n' Sassy and will be continuing to use them often!
My card today is one more I made for Sam using the Punny Fruits and Veggies set. I am thinking this set will make some fun Valentine's this year too!

(not sure why this looks so crooked, it's really not!)

Willow

I have been enjoying the kids winter break. We haven't done much but it's been so nice to just stay at home and relax. I've scrapped some--6 pages yesterday, worked on some upcoming fun DT stuff and just enjoyed being home.
I have taken several days off from commenting on blogs too but I'll get back into that groove soon as I truly do enjoy that.
My card for today uses a stamp I just recently got but have admired for the longest time. It's Willow from Faerie Song Art that I got at Susana's store.

supplies:
  • card size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
  • stamps: Willow,
  • paper: Basic Grey Euphoria,
  • ink: Memento Tuxedo Black,
  • others: copics, stardust pen, Inspiration Paint, SU ticket corner punch, EK Success punch, flower, some Mrs. Grossman's crystal accents I found in my stash, glue dots,
What I did:
  • stamped Willow in memento ink and colored with copics
  • I added some touches of stardust pen to her hair
  • I did her wings with Lavender Creative Inspiration Paint
  • I played around with different colors for my papers and embellishments, I think they turned out fun. I used a sketch by Mercy, MTSC49 .

  • picked papers and embellishments
  • finished the card by adding some fun stickles to her hair and doodling around the edge of the image with a template I finally remembered to use!

Makeup 4 the Weekend #9

Merry Christmas! Hope you have a wonderful day!

This week's Makeup 4 the Weekend challenge is to create a holiday scrapbook page using your PMS stamps!
Now I'm not going to lie...when I heard the challenge I went NOOOOO!!! I can't do it... LOL! I have such a hard time combining stamping and scrapping but that is one of my personal goals...to do more stamping in my layouts so then I said...sure I can do that! I have TONS of photos that need to be scrapped.
Be sure to check out the PMS Blog to see more details about the challenge and also to see what the other team members have created!
Here's what I came up with~ look at my little Matthew!! He was only 2 in these photos...so sweet!! I used Nole as a cute embellishment. (and I used my Cricut for the title!)

Hope that you can play along with us!

Our "tree" and Annabelle's creations

This year none of us were in the real Christmas spirit so we decided not to put up a tree or really decorate. Instead the kids decorated a door...pretty cute I think.

Belle has also been coloring away and using her artistic skills ALOT lately. She just amazes me, if there is something she wants and doesn't have, she sits down, draws it and cuts it out!
Here's a cookie stand she had--notice the baking sheet with cookies~

She also got tired of waiting on me to make a castle for her princess paper doll~

Here's some of her coloring~ I constantly hear "stamp me something" LOL!

Not too bad for a 5 year old.
Matthew is also creative but his is in his constant thinking of new inventions. He wants to be an inventor when he grows up and wow, he has tons of ideas!
(sorry for the funky spacing, blogger is being weird)
Happy Christmas eve everyone

Just a shout out...

Just a shout out to Hallmark Scrapbook for awesome service--quick shipping! I ordered some new Cricut Cartridges on Tuesday night and they arrived today! Off to play in a bit..hehehe!

Emma

Sorry I'm late with my post today for Flutter By Wednesday. I've been doing so well at staying ahead on my projects but yesterday we spent some time with friends (and shopping at Kohl's--kids got snuggies and I got a soft, fuzzy, warm blankie) so I didn't get a chance to create yesterday.
It's cold and rainy here today..blah. So I thought happy Emma would be a fun stamp to play with today.
Before I get onto my card, I would like to take this chance to thank all my Flutter By Team and all this years guest designers for their wonderful, hard work for me. I am so blessed and I really appreciate them all.
Please keep Kris and Nicola in your thoughts especially as they are both going through some icky times right now.
Onto my card~

supplies:
What I did:
  • stamped Emma onto my cardstock with memento ink and colored with copics
  • used gold lame' smooch on her buttons and touches of copic glitter pens and stardust pens to the entire image
  • I used an old sketch from the SCS Bella forum, BSC47, for my inspiration
  • cut my image out using my CM cutting system
  • finished the card with picking papers, embellies, sentiment and adding some stickles to the raindrops and her wings

Another card from the wonderful Trees of the Field set by Sweet n' Sassy
